Dadang was born in Bandung, on 5th July 1981. His early career achievement highlighted the importance of connecting local government policies with innovation concepts in which innovation is discussed not only about products or services but also about public management including policy innovation, human capital, culture, and investment management. He investigated the connection between government policies and innovation concepts. In his early career, another achievement was being the 1st rank in official research training for junior researchers in 2013.
The second period, 2015 – 2019, was signified by the influence of economics in determining my research topics. During this period He successfully measured the spillover effect on Total Factor Productivity (TFP) due to the presence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the labor market, the role of human capital on TFP of manufacturing industries, and successfully connecting various aspects affecting investment location decision, especially human capital, innovation, and culture. Connecting such aspects was still limited for research especially where methods used accommodate dynamic trends. In this period, another achievement was being the 2nd winner of a three-minute thesis competition hosted by the School of Business, Western Sydney University.
The third period, from 2020 until now, has been signified by focusing his research on human capital and digitalization. During this period, He analyzed factors needed by STI human capital in STI government Institutions and analyzed the supply and demand sides of digital talent to promote digital transformation and the implementation of digital economics in Indonesia. In 2023 His research focused on digitalization adoption by manufacturing SMEs in Indonesia resulting in several draft papers. One of them was already accepted and presented at the AsianComnet 2024 IEEE conference. Being a selected awardee for the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) project and training as a national representative (national expert) was a considerable achievement in this period. Other achievements were being accepted as a national representative for international training and workshops in the Philippines sponsored by APO and in Singapore sponsored by the Singapore Government and being a Project Overseer of the APEC Project that will be held in 2025.
He is a senior researcher and assistant Professor with a demonstrated history of working in research and academic environments. His Skills are in Productivity Measurement, Research Methods, Innovation Policy, Digital Economics, Human Capital, FDI, Labor Economics, Statistics for Business, Econometrics, and Public Policy supported by various software skills.
