Bachelor of Business Administration Program was granted a permit from Ministry of Higher Education on March 28, 2008. Initially this program is located under School of Business & Financial Administration (SABK) – Telkom Institute of Management (IM Telkom), with accreditation “B”, which is managed by the Telkom Education Foundation (YPT).

History of the establishment of Bachelor of Business Administration Program, Telkom University, can not be separated from the history of the establishment of Telkom Institute of Management. Telkom Institute of Management establishment can be traced back on May 23, 1990 with the Notarial Deed by Ahmad Wiratni, SH. Number: 163/1990 about the establishment of Master of Business Administration (MBA) Bandung as the pioneer of Master of Business Administration program in West Java. In an effort to maintain the quality of education, MBA Bandung was cooperated with Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Manila, Philippines.

On May 10, 1993, MBA Bandung changed to Bandung Management College (STMB) and obtained “Excellence” accreditation from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia by Decree of Minister of Education and Culture number: 70a / d / 0/93 year 1993. On December 2005, STMB changed its name to Telkom Business Management College (STMB Telkom). As a concrete step towards World Class University, STMB Telkom then transformed into Telkom Institute of Management (IM Telkom) on March 28, 2008, with one vocational study program, Marketing Management Program and five bachelor study programs: Accounting, Telecommunication & Informatics Business Management, Communication Studies, Visual Communication Design, and Business Administration.

Telkom University is the latest development of the transformation process of four institutions of higher education under the auspices of Telkom Education Foundation (YPT), namely Telkom Institute of Technology (IT Telkom), Telkom Institute of Management (IM Telkom), Science of Art College-Telkom (STISI Telkom), and Telkom Polytechnic. Telkom University has 7 (seven) faculties and 27 (twenty seven) courses, from vocational programs to master programs. Starting from April 1, 2014 the bachelor of business administration program is under the Faculty of Communication & Business – Telkom University. This transformation is done in an effort to achieve the goal of becoming one of the world class universities in 2017.

By October 2017, Bachelor of Business Administration Programs is “A” accredited by the National Agency for Accreditation of Tertiary Education Institutions (BAN-PT).
